Finding the Glory

I stepped out on my deck to enjoy the gorgeous morning God laid out before us. My quiet serenity was interrupted by a noisy "whoosh." I looked up, and this was over my house:

"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."
Psalm 19:1-4

The folks riding in that balloon got quite a view this morning. (I can't say that I'll ever be brave enough for that!) But, my view from the deck was beautiful, too. I got to see brand new seedlings emergings from the damp earth, and listen to the rustling leaves as the squirrels chased each other around the trees. And the sky? Cloudless. Just breathtaking.

Like Psalm 19 says, God's beauty is proclaimed everywhere we look, whether we're on land, air or sea. Take a few moments today to be still before God (Psalm 46:10) and see what His creation is saying to you!

  2. What a beautiful picture and colorful balloon. It reminds me of when I used to live in Kansas. Hot air balloons came over our house regularly and every time I heard the familiar whoosh I ran outside. Fond memories!

So, what do you have to say?
